States in red do link to a list of admitted carriers for that state. Typically, the exact insurance company name needs to be listed on Diligent Effort documents. Please make sure to utilize companies that are active.

- Please make sure to select companies that have an active status.
- INDIANA search criteria - State: Indiana, Entity Type: Company. Search the company name, and confirm Active Company Type(s) is Casualty, Property, or Property and Casualty (not Surplus Lines).
- MAINE search criteria - Department: "All", Agency: "Insurance", Business Type: "Property / Casualty", and select "Search active licenses only".
- MARYLAND search criteria - Status: "Active Company...". Click on the link under More Info. Confirm that "Application Field" displays "Licensed". (Do not select a "Surplus Lines" company for a DE form.)
